PM’s Pagoh Constituents Come to Muar to Ask for Laptops, Food

Syed Saddiq believes Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is not aware of the problems plaguing the people at the grassroots level in his constituency of Pagoh, because his constituents have been coming to the Muar service centre seeking aid.

“The prime minister said we are not going to let the people suffer. I think he seldom goes down to the ground and that is why he does not know the real problems at the grassroots level.

“There is no need to look at the national level.

“In his own parliamentary constituency in Pagoh, there are many who are willing to come to the Muar parliamentary service centre to ask for tablets, laptops and food baskets,”

Syed Saddiq said during the special parliamentary sitting in the Dewan Rakyat today.

Pagoh is about half an hour’s drive away from Muar.

Saddiq said he is ready to share the list of names of Pagoh constituents who have come to his service centre in Muar looking for aid.

“The reality of the day is very different from his speech,” he said, referring to Muhyiddin’s briefing earlier on the National Recovery Plan (NRP) in Parliament.

In his earlier speech, Muhyiddin had urged the opposition to stand in solidarity with the government in combating the Covid-19 crisis.
